Aligning With the Holy Spirit for Revival

Lessons from King Saul's Life

by JRP Ministry Staff on 02/21/20

Saul was called and anointed of the Lord.
His life was changed and he experienced the power of the Holy Spirit.
He was given a father in the Lord who was a powerful prophet with wise counsel.
He would not hearken diligently to the Lord’s commands.
He feared people more than the Lord.
He built a monument to himself and his accomplishments.
His sin of presumption in attempting to act as a priest, ultimately led to his downfall.
He was habitually disobedient which resulted in opening himself up to an evil spirit and wickedness taking over his life.
He fought against the Lord’s anointed and His will.
He was guilty of conspiracy to commit murder, attempted murder, murdered 85 priests, exterminated the inhabitants of Nob, consulted a medium and then committed suicide.
What can we learn from this?
We would do well not to follow “leaders” who are bent on living a life of presumption and disobedience; it is impossible for the Lord to protect those who do.  In the end he was overrun by his and the Lord's enemies.

1 Samuel 31:6 (NASB95)

6 Thus Saul died with his three sons, his armor bearer, and all his men on that day together.

1 Samuel 31:8–10 (NASB95)

8 It came about on the next day when the Philistines came to strip the slain, that they found Saul and his three sons fallen on Mount Gilboa. 9 They cut off his head and stripped off his weapons, and sent them throughout the land of the Philistines, to carry the good news to the house of their idols and to the people. 10 They put his weapons in the temple of Ashtaroth, and they fastened his body to the wall of Beth-shan.

Walking Floodgates of the Holy Spirit

by JRP Ministry Staff on 01/22/20

Living our lives in accordance with the word of God, while following the promptings of the Holy Spirit allows us to be walking, living and breathing floodgates of the River of God.

Walking floodgates of the Holy Spirit earn the right to be stewards of the outpouring He has promised to the Church.

What Does it Take to be a Great Leader?

by JRP Ministry Staff on 01/21/20

You can read all of the leadership books there are in the world, but the Bible makes it simple. Great leaders are great followers of the Holy Spirit.

China, Judgment & The United States

by JRP Ministry Staff on 01/17/20

The Holy Spirit proclaims that the Lord is about to move with great speed in releasing His judgments against China.  The conspiracies that Chinese government officials have been planning have come up to the Lord and He will act.

The speed at which multiple judgments will be released from the Lord will be so severe that Chinese officials will be left without a move.

One purpose of these judgments is to bring the Gospel to China for the purpose of reaping a harvest of souls in that nation.

The judgment the Lord is bringing to China will send shock waves across our nation and will reach President Trump in the White House.  It is to serve as a warning to him as well as our nation that the judgment the Lord will release against China will also come to the United States if we do not heed.

Previously, the Lord revealed to me that He was calling forth His underground army.  Similar to the Terra Cotta army in China, His army will be revealed and will be called forth to take their stand.  The judgments the Lord sends will ultimately lead to Chinese officials to seek out members of His Church, asking them to pray for the nation and to seek the Lord’s blessing.

The great wealth that China has accumulated will be stripped from the nation seemingly overnight.  The Lord had revealed years ago that the economic ties (represented as chains) with the United States will be severed creating a dramatic economic boom in our nation.

Jesus Was Sent for Judgment

by JRP Ministry Staff on 01/17/20

The Bible indicates that judgment tends to uproot the disingenuous, like the blind who lead the blind. Simply put, judgment sorts things out and cleans things up. When we believe that Jesus is no longer in the judgment business, we have lost track of a one important reason why Jesus was sent. He said, "For judgment I came into this world, so that those who do not see may see and that those who [say] they see may become blind (John 9:39).

My Prayer for 2020

by JRP Ministry Staff on 12/30/19

I can't think of anything better to pray for in the coming year than that the Church would realize that it is blind, naked, wretched, miserable and poor.  Coming to that realization, that it would confess it's blindness and receive 20/20 vision from the Lord.  Only He can give her the sight into the things of the Spirit that she needs.

Fear & Doubt – The Ugly Twins

by JRP Ministry Staff on 12/19/19

In a vision by the Spirit, I was floating down a river.  Ahead I could see that I was approaching a waterfall.  I attempted to get to shore but the current was too strong and swift.

In my heart I knew I was being called to decide whether I would surrender willingly and go over the waterfall.  I then was given a front-view of the waterfall.  Just below the crest where the water began to pour over, I saw two identical demons on either side of the cascading water holding a net between them.  I was then given their names:  Fear & Doubt.

It was clear that fear and doubt would be a hinderance to me, attempting to keep me from moving on with the Lord.  Either I was to surrender to the flow of the water, the Holy Spirit, by making a leap of faith or I would be caught in the net held by fear and doubt and be thrown back up and over the crest.  The Holy Spirit was calling me to make a decision to follow Him.  When I did, I fell into a peaceful pool of water and saw Jesus on the shore.  I swam to the shore where Jesus was, and we then walked on from there to continue our journey together.

Paul exhorted Timothy that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and sound judgment (II Tim 1:7).  We are being called upon to war with fear and doubt, for by these ugly twins the enemy of our souls uses them to wage war against us and the Kingdom of God.  The Kingdom of God is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit (Rom 14:17).  Fear is nothing but a smokescreen that the enemy of our souls uses to keep us from moving forward in the strength of the Lord to take territory.  For the Kingdom of God to advance through us there must be battles; we must face fear and doubt and conquer in the name of the Lord.  What was true for Joshua and the Israelites, is certainly true for us.

To say that fear is a smokescreen from the enemy is not to say we can’t feel fear.  The darkness of menacing fear is very real, but in our weakness of sensing overwhelming fear, we can call upon Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, to lead us forward into battle and put fear under our feet.  We must do our part by raising up the sword of the Spirit, the word of God, and commanding fear to move out of the way!  We dare not surrender to fear when we are called to have faith in the Lord and to move in His authority and having done all, to stand (Eph 6:13).

Fear and doubt are designed to hinder our walk with the Lord.  We as the Church are called to surrender to the path ahead that the Holy Spirit is calling us to.  Without taking the leap of faith that He is instructing us to take, knowing and trusting in His goodness, we won’t be able to continue our journey with Him.  The Lord is calling us to follow Him into battle where fear and doubt must be reckoned with an understanding as to how they war against the will of the Lord for us and for those He has called us to minister to.  Let us fight the good fight of faith!
